"Samson asked for physical strength because he was fighting flesh and
blood enemies. Christians ask for spiritual strength because they 'do not wrestle against flesh and blood,' but against evil spiritual forces that attack them from within and from the outside (Eph. 6:12, NKJV).
"The source of strength for Christians of all ages is always the same.
They are 'strengthened with might through the Spirit in the inner man' (Eph. 3:16, NKJV).
Greater is He who is in the Spirit-filled person than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).

around in the spiritual darkness of this world, wondering where to turn for help and healing. "This blindness may happen in just one area of an otherwise enlightened
Christian life. A person may be a prominent leader in institutional Christianity and yet be blinded by pride, political wrangling, Laodiceanism, or some other 'acceptable' sin.
"If you are feeling the grip of darkness descending upon your soul today,
you can ask the Holy Spirit to lead you again, not to the pillars of a pagan temple, but to the cross of Jesus. Samson asked to be led again, and the Lord heard his prayer and restored his strength. At the cross you will see the light that will dispel the darkness that has surrounded a particular area of your life. This is the great work of the Holy Spirit, who not only leads the mind to the source of light but also gives the strength to destroy the enemy, the power of darkness, who has gained authority in some area of life."
